Classroom Sizes Are Getting Bigger Classrooms all over the country are starting to see bigger class sizes. Teachers are starting to get between 25-40 students in their class. A few states and cities have policies for class size limits, but they are very relaxed and not enforced. In Kansas, they do not have any policies about class size for K-12, but they do have strict policies for daycares and preschools. The ratio for preschool is 12 children per adult, and if it goes over that,t another adult must be added. With the rest of the grades, most teachers do not have a para with them, besides maybe kindergarten.
